Boat Trip and Preparation

• Our diving day begins as we set off from Koh Samui towards the open sea. During the journey, you’ll enjoy the sea breeze and views of the Gulf of Thailand while our team of certified PADI instructors gives you a comprehensive briefing. We’ll go through the dive plan, Sail Rock’s highlights and safety procedures to make sure you’re fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

First Dive: A Natural Aquarium

• We’ll arrive at Sail Rock, an impressive granite pinnacle rising from the open sea. On our first dive, you’ll descend into a spectacular natural aquarium. Following the rock face, you’ll encounter what makes this site so famous: enormous schools of barracuda, trevally and queenfish swimming in mesmerising formations all around you.

Surface Interval: Lunch Out at Sea

• After the first dive, we’ll return to the boat for a well-deserved surface interval. Enjoy a delicious lunch, refreshing drinks and fresh fruit, all accompanied by incredible 360-degree views of the Gulf. It’s the perfect opportunity to share stories from your first dive and relax in the sunshine.

Second Dive: Exploring the Pinnacle’s Secrets

• On our second dive, we’ll explore the features that make Sail Rock so special. We’ll look for giant moray eels hiding in the crevices and ascend through its famous vertical “Chimney” formation. Throughout the dive, we’ll keep an eye on the deep blue, hoping for a visit from the largest fish in the ocean: the magnificent and unforgettable whale shark.

Return to Koh Samui: The End of a Legendary Day

• With new entries in your dive logbook and memories of spectacular underwater scenery, we’ll begin the relaxing journey back to Koh Samui. It’s the perfect time to share photos and celebrate an exceptional day of diving at one of the Gulf of Thailand’s finest dive sites.

Important Information to Consider

• Important Medical Restrictions: For safety reasons, this tour is not suitable for pregnant women, anyone under 18 or people with significant medical conditions, particularly respiratory, heart or back problems.

• Required Diving Level: This tour is designed for certified divers. Please bring your diving certification with you.

• Safety First: Your safety is our top priority. All instructors are PADI-certified and trained in first aid. The boat is equipped with emergency oxygen and diving insurance.

• Small Groups: We ensure personalised attention, with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor, although our preferred ratio is 2:1.

• English- and Spanish-Speaking Instructors: Instructors are available in both English and Spanish. Please contact us when booking to confirm availability in your preferred language.

• Allergies and Special Requirements: Your well-being is our priority. Please let us know about any food allergies or special requirements when making your booking.

• Itinerary Notice: Your safety is our top priority. The route, island stops or order of the itinerary may be changed or cancelled without prior notice depending on weather and sea conditions, including waves and tides.

Do not collect shells or other natural objects, as they are part of the ecosystem’s natural balance.

Where possible, use biodegradable sunscreen to help protect the coral reefs.

Small actions can make a big difference. Protecting this environment is the best way to ensure it can be enjoyed today and for years to come.

Booking notice: To secure your place, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially during high season. Many of our tours have limited capacity and fill up quickly, so we cannot guarantee availability for bookings made only 1 or 2 days in advance.

Itinerary notice: To ensure your safety and the best possible experience, the order of the stops or the route may change without prior notice due to traffic, weather conditions or other external factors.

Restrictions: Pregnant women, people under 18 years old and with medical and/or back problems cannot join the tour.

Special requirements: Please inform us of any allergies or special requirements when making your booking so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Accident insurance: To ensure the validity of the accident insurance, you must provide the full name, gender and passport number of all participants. Failure to provide this information may result in the cancellation of your booking. During high season, we recommend securing your place in advance.

Pick-ups: For group tours, our vehicle will pick up participants in sequence, so we kindly ask you to wait patiently at the entrance of your hotel. If you feel the wait is excessive, please contact the operator directly. If your accommodation is inaccessible to the vehicle, pick-up will take place at a nearby alternative meeting point agreed in advance.
