A special moment

Snorkelling in the Similan Islands makes you forget about the outside world. The water is so clear that the seabed seems within reach, colours appear all around you and marine life surrounds you almost without you noticing. It’s an intense, immersive moment that lets you float in silence, knowing you may never experience anything quite like it again.

“Respect the environment and leave no trace of your visit.”

The Similan Islands are one of Thailand’s best-preserved national parks. For this very reason, the archipelago closes from 15 May to 15 October during the monsoon season, allowing the marine ecosystem to regenerate naturally.

Responsible Snorkelling

Let’s Protect the Marine Treasures of the Andaman Sea

We invite you to enjoy the reefs and marine life respectfully. This ecosystem is fragile and depends on all of us to survive.

Avoid touching or walking on corals, as they are living organisms that are extremely sensitive. Observe the fish without chasing them or disturbing their natural behaviour.

Do not collect shells or other natural objects, as they are part of the ecosystem’s delicate balance.

Whenever possible, use biodegradable sunscreen to help protect the reefs.

Small actions can make a big difference. Protecting this environment is the best way to ensure we can continue enjoying it today and in the future.
